Kai Trump Makes Her Mark at the University of Miami in New Official Photos
Kai Trump is officially beginning her college golf journey, and her first freshman photos for the University of Miami have already caught the attention of thousands of social media users.
The 19-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump has joined the Hurricanes women’s golf program after spending years preparing for the opportunity to compete at the Division I level.
Trump has been committed to playing college golf for more than two years, making her arrival on the Miami campus an important milestone. Now, she and her new teammates are preparing for the upcoming season.
The young golfer recently gave her 3.1 million Instagram followers a glimpse of her new role by posting a 20-photo collection featuring Miami gear, teammates and behind-the-scenes images from her freshman photoshoot.
In the lead image, Trump smiled at the camera while wearing a green Miami golf polo with a white skirt. Her caption was brief but fitting for the occasion: “Year 1 #gocanes.”
Another image showed Trump holding a TaylorMade golf ball. She tagged the equipment company as part of her NIL partnership with the brand, placing her in the company of prominent TaylorMade ambassadors such as Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Nelly Korda.
Trump is one of three newcomers joining the Miami women’s golf roster this season. Bella Dovhey and Carlee Rogers are also among the team’s latest additions, bringing the roster to nine players.
The photoshoot included a patriotic moment as Trump posed with an American flag draped around her, a fitting visual given her connection to the nation’s president.
Her arrival comes at a program with a decorated history. Miami has captured five national championships and produced five individual national champions, although the program has not won a national title since 1984.
Trump will compete alongside teammates including Scarlett Schremmer, one of the notable players on the Hurricanes roster.
Miami is entering the 2026-27 season ranked No. 21 in preseason women’s college golf rankings, giving the team legitimate expectations heading into competition.
For Trump, however, the spotlight will extend well beyond the fairways. Her famous family, substantial online following and NIL deal have already made her a highly recognizable young athlete.
Once she begins competing for Miami, that attention is likely to grow even further.
