Men Attack Woman who was Walking Alone Dont Realize what she Does Living

Two men picked the wrong woman to mess with late on the Fourth of July in a quiet section of southeast Portland. They spotted her walking alone after a shift and moved in, apparently expecting an easy robbery. Instead they ended up on the ground, nursing bruises and waiting for officers.

The woman, identified later as 29-year-old Sarah Kline, works as a professional mixed-martial-arts fighter and occasional trainer at a local gym. She told police the pair grabbed at her bag and tried to shove her toward a nearby fence. One swing later, both men were backing off. Kline, who trains regularly in striking and ground control, used the same skills she practices daily to fend them off until bystanders called 911.

Portland police arrived within minutes and took the two men into custody on charges of attempted robbery and assault. Neither appeared seriously injured, though both complained of sore ribs and one had a split lip. Detectives noted the suspects seemed surprised when they learned who they had targeted.

Kline said she was heading home after a late training session and had not expected trouble on the familiar route. She credited the quick response from neighbors for preventing anything worse. Officers released her at the scene after taking her statement.

The case drew quick attention online once word spread about the attacker’s miscalculation. Local gyms posted messages praising Kline’s composure, while police reminded residents to stay aware during holiday weekends. The two men remained in custody as prosecutors prepared to file formal charges.
