Briel Adams-Wheatley is opening up about one of the most personal chapters of her life — and the internet can’t stop talking about it.

The social media star, who has built a massive following through makeup tutorials and candid lifestyle videos, recently addressed the question many followers have repeatedly asked about her marriage to husband Adam Wheatley after her gender transition.

Briel, who was born in São Paulo with the rare condition known as Hanhart syndrome, has become an inspiration to millions online. The condition caused her to be born without fully developed arms and legs, but that has not stopped her from building a successful career as a beauty influencer and motivational voice.

Her story began with major challenges from the start. As an infant, she was placed for adoption because her biological mother reportedly could not afford the medical care she required. She was later adopted by a large Mormon family in Utah, where she says she was raised to value independence and resilience.

Today, Briel has amassed millions of followers across TikTok and Instagram by documenting her daily life, beauty routines and relationship with Adam. But one topic that continues to draw intense curiosity from viewers is how her husband reacted when she decided to transition.

The couple first connected through Tinder in 2020 and quickly developed a close bond. According to Briel, Adam was among the very first people she confided in about her feelings regarding her identity.

In a candid video shared online, Briel explained that she privately discussed her thoughts about transitioning long before publicly announcing it. She revealed that Adam supported her during that deeply personal process, even while she was still figuring things out herself.

Adam admitted the adjustment period was not always simple, particularly when it came to using different pronouns depending on whether they were at home or around other people who had not yet been informed.

He described the experience as a learning curve, saying he occasionally struggled to keep track of what name or pronouns to use publicly during the early stages of her transition.

Despite the challenges, Adam made clear that his feelings for Briel never changed.

“I fell in love with who she is,” he explained in the now-viral clip, adding that he has seen a dramatic improvement in her confidence and happiness since embracing her true identity publicly.

Briel’s followers have admired the couple for their honesty, with many applauding the supportive dynamic in their marriage.

Beyond conversations about her transition, the influencer continues to inspire fans through videos showcasing how she navigates daily life with Hanhart syndrome. From applying makeup and cooking meals to traveling and attending major events, Briel regularly demonstrates the independence her adoptive mother encouraged throughout her childhood.

The influencer has said her ultimate mission is to encourage others facing obstacles not to give up.

She previously explained that hearing from viewers who find strength through her videos remains one of the most rewarding parts of her platform.

Over the years, Briel has also attended major public events, including Pride celebrations at the White House and appearances at New York Fashion Week, further cementing her place as both a social media personality and advocate for self-expression.
