Police in suburban Ohio took a 45-year-old woman into custody yesterday after officers executing a search warrant came across several dozen digital photos stored on her laptop. The images showed nude minors in explicit poses, and investigators say the files had been downloaded over a period of months. The woman, whose name has not been released, reportedly told detectives she believed the pictures depicted adults and that she had deleted them long ago.

Detectives first received a tip from an internet service provider flagging suspicious file-sharing activity linked to the woman’s home network. When they arrived at the residence with the warrant, they found the laptop in plain view on a kitchen table. A quick forensic preview revealed the cache of photos, many of which carried metadata showing they had been saved within the past year. The woman was cooperative at the scene but appeared surprised when told what the images actually contained.

Court documents indicate she faces multiple counts of possession of child pornography. Bail was set at $75,000 during an initial appearance this morning. Neighbors described the woman as quiet and unremarkable, someone who kept mostly to herself and worked from home as a freelance graphic designer. One resident said he never noticed anything unusual about her daily routine.

Prosecutors emphasized that the case hinges on the content of the recovered files rather than any claim of mistaken identity. They expect the investigation to expand as detectives examine additional devices seized from the property. The woman’s public defender declined to comment on the charges.
