President Donald Trump paid an emotional tribute to longtime ally Sen. Lindsey Graham during the late lawmaker’s funeral, but another moment from the solemn ceremony quickly sparked discussion online after viewers claimed television cameras lingered on the president’s hands.

The funeral service for Graham brought together political leaders, foreign dignitaries and members of the Trump administration to honor the longtime South Carolina senator, who died earlier this month at the age of 71. While much of the attention centered on Trump’s eulogy, social media users focused on close-up shots aired during the service that appeared to show discoloration on the back of the president’s right hand.

The images reignited online speculation about Trump’s health, an issue that has repeatedly surfaced over the past year whenever photographs have shown bruising or makeup covering portions of his hands.

The White House has previously addressed those concerns.

Last year, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation that included vascular testing. According to Leavitt, physicians determined the president has chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition that affects blood flow in the veins, particularly in older adults.

She also explained that the bruising visible on Trump’s hands was consistent with minor tissue damage associated with frequent handshakes while taking aspirin, which can make bruising more noticeable.

Leavitt defended the president’s demanding public schedule at the time, saying Trump regularly greets and shakes hands with large numbers of Americans and remains committed to engaging directly with the public.

Despite that explanation, social media users seized on footage from Graham’s funeral, with some suggesting the television broadcast intentionally zoomed in on Trump’s hands.

One widely shared post claimed the close-up appeared deliberate, prompting a flood of reactions.

“The cameraman deserves an award,” one user wrote.

Others were less critical, pointing out that Trump is 80 years old and arguing that bruising is not unusual for someone his age.

Another commenter suggested the marks resembled bruising that can occur after receiving intravenous treatments or routine medical care.

The online debate unfolded as Trump delivered heartfelt remarks remembering Graham’s decades of public service.

Calling the late senator “a giant of the United States Senate,” Trump praised Graham’s dedication to the country and noted that he remained actively engaged in foreign policy until his final days.

The president said Graham “died doing the work he was born to do,” referencing the senator’s recent overseas trip before his death.

Graham, who represented South Carolina in the Senate for more than 20 years after first taking office in 2002, built a reputation as one of Congress’ leading voices on national security and international affairs. He consistently advocated for strong support of Israel, backed military action against Iran and remained one of the Senate’s most outspoken supporters of Ukraine during its war with Russia. While Trump’s tribute highlighted Graham’s legacy, the broadcast’s close-up camera angles unexpectedly fueled another round of online discussion over the president’s health—despite previous medical explanations released by the White House.
